Roadrunner Manifesto

Print

A series of broadsides exploring the colonial logic of wildlife extermination in the United States through the attempted erradication
of coyote populations.

Reflecting on attitude-forming narratives surrounding the coyote, including writing by Mark Twain, excerpts from Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner (and the ‘10 commandments’ put forth by its creator outlining the rules of the world the show represents), and the recently legalized (again) deployment of cyanide bombs, The Roadrunner Manifesto traces the contradictory, expansionist logic of American domestic policy through violence against the benevolent canine trickster Canis lartrans.
